PPT Solutions: 2008 Reflections Lead to 2009 Goals
HUNTSVILLE, AL, December 31, 2008 – PPT Solutions (PPT) reflects on the growth
they experienced in 2008 and sets new goals for 2009.
In 2008, PPT had significant growth in both staffing and revenue. “We had set
aggressive growth goals for 2008,” said Jim Reeb, PPT President. “We fell a bit short of
our staffing goal, but we met our revenue goal for 2008. We accomplished this by
expanding our overall customer base and working with existing customers to define
additional needs we could support.”
In 2008, PPT provided software engineering services to both government and commercial
customers. Most of the growth was related to systems engineering process improvement,
data warehouse system evaluation, and software safety modeling, analysis, and
certification activities. PPT received many awards and certificates of recognition from its
customers. Additionally, PPT earned a role as subcontractor to Culpeper Veterans
Association LLC. (cVa), for a prime contract for SeaPort Enhanced (SeaPort-e).
PPT also made significant efforts to become more invested in the Huntsville community.
PPT has established a “volunteer day”, in which employees may take an additional day of
leave to support a local community volunteer effort. “I have enjoyed coordinating the
volunteer efforts at PPT. The staff has been very responsive and helpful. As a result of
PPT’s volunteer efforts, we have made significant contributions to our community and
enjoyed the chance to interact with coworkers outside the office,” said Courtney Wilborn,
PPT’s Business Specialist and Volunteer Chair.
For 2009, PPT’s primary focus will be to continue providing superior service to its
customers and to pursue new markets in the Huntsville-Redstone community. “We feel
very fortunate to be headquartered in such a great city and community,” said Reeb. “We
believe that the Tennessee Valley will be an oasis for business development and growth
over the next several years, given the proven track record. We are grateful for our
success and are honored to be a part of our customers’ successes. We are looking
forward to 2009.”
